Hyderabad: “Ummid 1000” aimed to help education for poor girls launched

Hyderabad: A 1000 km long “Cycle Yatra” christened “ Ummid 1000 ” aimed to help education for poor girls was launched here today.

All the participants of “ Ummid 1000 cycle yatra” were RBI employees. Cyclist Jasmitsingh Gandhi from Mumbai is leading 75 member team of RBI employees.

The yatra would reach Visakhaptnam steel city via temple town Tirupati by December 15. The cycle yatra was launched at Madhapur by railway DG Krishnaprasad.

According to organisers of the yatra, money collected through this yatra would be donated to Udbhava girls school at Rasoolpura being run by IAM Ahmedabad alumni students association.

This was third consecutive year cycle yatra is being organised to extend financial support for education of girl students.
