Hyderabad: In the City of Pearls Hyderabad, The World Telugu Conference (WTC) will begins at the LB Stadium, Fateh maidan today evening by Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu in presence of Maharashtra Governor, TS and AP Governor and CM Telangana.

For the next five days in the city, it will be all about Telugu. Telugu poets, literatures, and cultures will take centre-stage for the event. The whole City decked up with colourful lights, All the streets and main thoroughfares in the city are sporting colourful arches, each named after different poets and Telugu legends. The inaugural ceremony will feature a special documentary on Telangana culture and heritage, and a dance show “Jaya Jayosthu Telangana” composed by Deshapathi Srinivas.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will launch the World Telangana Conference at 5 p.m. along with the other dignitaries Maharashtra Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of TS and AP ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao. For valedictory function on December 19 President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind also be a part of the event.

For the Conference Over 8,000 delegates, including 160 from 40 countries and 1,250 from other States, are participating in the conference who will be discussions, talks and debates on Telugu literature and culture, apart from poetry and story sessions.

As LB stadium, the main venue, More different programmes will be organized at Telugu University, Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium, Ravindra Bharathi, Telangana Saraswatha Parishat and others. There will be placed food stalls for delegates and participants to relish authentic Telangana cuisine, sweets, desserts and savouries at venue.

A thick security cover with over 3,000 security personnel, door frame metal detectors, hand-held detectors and surveillance cameras has been arranged at strategic locations to ensure that the event goes off peacefully.
