Hyderabad youth murders aspiring model for refusing physical advances

Mumbai: Despite movements like #MeToo and government’s initiatives to make the society safer for females, crimes against women still taking place at various parts of the country. In one such incident, a Hyderabad youth allegedly murdered an aspiring model. This incident took place in Mumbai.

According to the report published in Hindustan Times, the accused is identified as Muzzammil Syed (19). He was arrested under the charges of murdering a 20-year-old model, Mansi Dixit. As per Bangur Nagar Police, the accused killed the model after she rejected his demand for sex.

It is also reported that on Monday, the body of the victim was found in mangroves, Malad.

It may be mentioned that Dixit was from Rajasthan and Syed is from Hyderabad. They both met for the first time at Syed’s residence in Milat Nagar, Andheri (West).

According to ABP News, they came into contact through an app.

As per a police source, the accused confessed that he had killed the model after she rejected his demand for sex. The accused further revealed that he hit her on the head with a stool, Hindustan Times reported.

However, the source also said that the accused is changing his statement frequently.
