Hyderabad: Mirchowk Police officials caught red handed accepting bribe

Hyderabad: Two Police officials and one police constable from Mirchowk have been booked for bribery charges by the Anti-corruption sleuths on Tuesday.

Following a bribery complaint, the police officer identified as M Sarangapani (34), sub-inspector (SI), and K Kiran Kumar(36) police constable of Mirchowk police station in Hyderabad commissionerate were slapped with bribery charges for taking Rs 50,000, TOI reports.

The complainant is a retired HPCL employee K Anil Kumar who alerted the ACB sleuths.

Acting on the complaint, the ACB sleuths laid a trap on Tuesday afternoon and caught constable Kiran Kumar red-handed when he was accepting bribe near Durru Shehvar Hospital in Old City on instructions of SI Sarangapani.
