‘I am a very intelligent person,’ declares Donald Trump

Washington: US President, Donald Trump on Wednesday accused media of making a bad image of him and said he was a nice student at college and is very intelligent.

“I think the press makes me more uncivil than I am. I went to an Ivy League college. I was a nice student. I did very well. I’m a very intelligent person, ” Trump said in response to the criticism by two Senators from his Republican party, who accused him of having “a flagrant disregard for truth and decency”, Hindustan Times reported.

“I think the press creates a different image of Donald Trump than the real person,” Trump added.

“I think to a certain extent, maybe I can blame the media. But politics is a rough business,” Trump said while on his way to a fund-raiser in Dallas.

Trump was graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree and also studied for two years at Fordham University in the Bronx.

The US President for the past few weeks sparring with Senators Jeff Flake and Bob Corker.

In the past as well, Trump has used his University degree in defence for his alleged poor conduct, for an instance, when he reportedly mocked a disabled reporter.

Without naming Trump, Flake called his conduct “reckless, outrageous and undignified” in a floor speech announcing his retirement.
