MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Salman Khan hailed the Indian armed forces for carrying out air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest terror camp in Balakot in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province early on Tuesday in retaliation to the February 14 attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, which had left 40 Indian CRPF troopers dead.
The 53-year-old actor took to Twitter to laud the Indian Air Force for giving a befitting reply to Pakistan.
Salman, who is currently busy shooting for Bharat, wrote, “Respect @IAF_MCC Indian Air Force… Jai ho !!!”

The film ‘Bharat’ is Salman Khan’s third collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar after the 2016’s ‘Sultan’ and 2017’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai.’
Indian film personalities including Lata Mangeshkar, Aja Devgn, Akshay Kumar and South actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan and Mahesh Babu also hailed the strikes.

Speaking to reporters, Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay K. Gokhale on Tuesday told that a very large number of JeM terrorists, including senior commanders, trainers and groups of jihadis who were being trained for fidayeen (suicide attack) missions, were eliminated in the operation.
After the Pulwama attack, Indian film associations instructed filmmakers to avoid using any Pakistani talent in their movies and not to release their films in Pakistan. As a result, “Total Dhamaal” did not release there.
Kartik Aaryan’s “Luka Chuppi”, Diljit Dosanjh’s “Arjun Patiala” and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s “Milan Talkies” will also not release in Pakistan.
