If wrests power in State, BJP will waive Rs 2 lakh loan for famers: Laxman

Hyderabad: With a major announcement of waiving off Rs two lakh loan of farmers at a time, Telangana BJP today released its election manifesto for the Assembly elections in the State.

Releasing a 40-page manifesto, State BJP president Dr K Laxman said his party, if voted to power, would wave of Rs two lakh loan of farmers at one go and supply standard seeds at free of cost. BJP manifesto also assured provision of Rs five lakh insurance to farmers and agriculture labourers besides the government would bear premium of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bheema (crop insurance) introduced by the Centre.

In the education field, the BJP leader said immediate action would be taken to recruit vacant posts in junior, degree, PG colleges and university level. The BJP government would set up government junior college in every mandal and a degree college in each constituency. The manifesto committee also assured that a free laptop would be distributed to degree students, distribution of cycles to students of seventh standard to 10th class and two wheelers would be provided on a subsidy to those studying in degree.

The party also said health insurance would be provided to 3.5 crore people in the State under Ayushman Bharat scheme being implemented by Narendra Modi government at national level. Retirement age of government employees would be increased to 60 years and a notification for filling of vacant 2.5 lakh posts would be done within three months after the party coming to power, the manifesto said. The BJP government would also announce Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to families of martyrs and Rs 5000 pension would be given to each person, who went to jail in support of Telangana movement.

The party would give priority to all sectors for development in the State, including rural development, IT, Industries, urban development and provide basic infrastructure. The party also assured development of Greater Hyderabad by extending MMTS services to Tandur, Kamareddy, Jangaon, Nalgonda and Jadcherla. The manifesto also assured filling of 20,000 posts which were lying vacant in the Singareni Colleries. BJP assured that providing of house sites to journalists in each district and mandal headquarters and Accreditation cards to eligible candidates if voted to power.

The BJP leaders appealed people to vote for BJP for development of Telangana State and a corruption-free government.

Former union minister and MP Bangaru Dannatraya, G Kishan Reddy, NVS Prabhakar and others were also present in the press conference.
