IICC elections: fate of 38 candidates sealed in ballot boxes

New Delhi: The elections for 13 posts in India Islamic Cultural Centre were held on Sunday. 1118 votes were cast during polling, while 932 votes were received by Returning Officer through ballot papers.

Due to some mismanagement at the beginning of the polling resulting in the ruckus, Dr Farooq Abdullah is said to have returned without casting vote.

Sirajuddin Qureshi and Arif Mohammed Khan contested for the post of the president. Elections were held for the posts of president, vice president, the board of trustees and executive committee members.
