Impact of Siasat news: Govt. decides to restore lost glory of Moazzam Jahi market

Hyderabad: Developmental activities worth 4.9 are being carried out to restore the lost glory of historical Moazzam Jahi market.

Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation sanctioned Rs. 3 Cr for granite works. It must be recalled that a report regarding the pathetic condition of Moazzam Jahi market was published in Siasat Daily following which municipal administration minister KTR visited the market and directed the higher officials of the various department to immediately resolve the issues.

Later chief secretary municipal administration department Arvind Kumar visited the market and took stock of developmental works. A pipeline is being laid from market to Risala Abdullah with the cost of 19 lakh for clearance of water. According to sources, it has been decided to release 4.9 Cr for construction and developmental works at Moazzam Jahi market. It is likely that all problems will be solved before the rainy season and the antique clock will be repaired.
