Implement education, health, employment policies: Kodandaram

The Telangana State government has completely failed to implement Education, Health, Employment policies, TJAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram has said.

Speaking on the occasion of the AISF and AIYF unions completing their bus yatra  throught Telangana State, Prof. Kodandaram demanded that the State government issue employment notifications immediately to fill two lakh  jobs in all departments, Public and Private sector. Reminding that the State government had declared in 2014 that 1.07 lakh posts remained vacant, Prof. Kodandaram bemoaned that only 15,000 posts were filled in three years of TRS government. He demanded that the government immediately recruit DSC, Gurukul posts.

It may be mentioned here that AISF and AIYF unions bus yatra started on January  20 at Gajwel in Siddipet district and returned after 14 days yatra and held a meeting at Indira Park.

Addressing the meeting, CPI State secretary Chada Venkata Reddy demanded that the State and Central governments implement the Kotari Commission Recommendations like KG to PG free education, release of all employment notifications, students fee reimbursement and pending scholarships.

Civil Liberties leader Prof. Dr Haragopal said there are many inequalities in the society and education must be provided to all equally. “Our social system is not equal. What is the mistake of poor people? Why are they not getting better education?, he asked. The State and Central governments were inviting private universities in the country which will be harmful to poor people. He stoutly opposed corporatization in education system and criticized incorporating Hindu ideology in school curriculum. AIYF leader  Thirumai  also spoke. On the occasion, State Praja Natyamandali leader Palle Narsaiah  and others rendered songs motivating the students and youth.
