The meeting was addressed by Chief Guest of the function, Mr. Abu Asim Azmi, SP MLA of Maharashtra. The protest meeting continued till late at night. Police had registered a criminal case against Azmi, Dr. Qayam Khan (late), Mr. Majeedullah Khan Farhat and Amjadullah Khan Khalid under sections 153 (A) and 188 of IPC. After investigations, police had dropped the names of Azmi and Qayam Khan whereas the cases continued against the other persons.
