Indian lands in trouble due to negligence of Passport Seva Kendra officials

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, an Indian was forced to spend time in a prison cell due to the negligence of Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) Officials. He was reportedly humiliated at the Russian airport.

According to the report published in DC, Mr Praveen Kumar Chowhan, a 46-year-old Indian businessman who went to Moscow, Russia landed in trouble due to the clerical mistake committed by PSK Officials. Later, he was deported back to India. His passport’s page numbers were mismatched.

Talking to media persons, Mr. Chowhan alleged that he was humiliated at a Russian airport.

Giving the details of the incident, Mr. Chowhan said that he went to Moscow along with his 16 friends. At the Russian airport, immigration official took his passport and asked him to wait.

After around six hours, immigration official informed him that his passport is not valid as its pages are not in a series. After knowing this, Mr. Chowhan contacted officials at Indian Embassy in Russia. However, they also failed to help him.

He was forced to wait for another five hours. After making him wait for hours, he was forced to sit inside an airport deportation cell.

After another three hours, he was deported. As his flight was via Sharjah, he faced problems at Sharjah Airport for another 17 hours.

Finally, on Sunday night, he landed at the Kempegowda International Airport.
