Indians will now get “visa on arrival” in UAE on satisfying these conditions

Abu Dhabi: Now, Indian passport holders can get the “visa on arrival” in UAE. This decision was taken by UAE Cabinet chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai to strengthen bilateral relations. However, they have to satisfy certain conditions.

According to the report published in Khaleej Times, Indians holding ordinary passport must have residence visa from the UK or the European Union to get the “visa on arrival” in UAE.

It may be noted that earlier, UAE Govt. had decided to give “visa on arrival” for a period of 14 days to Indian passport holders with US visa or green card of minimum six-month validity.

This decision was taken in order to attract tourists and to promote its economic ambitions.

It is to be mentioned that India is the UAE’s second largest trading partner. India invests around $70 billion in the UAE while the UAE’s investment in India is around $10 billion. There are many daily flights between cities in both the countries which increase connectivity between two nations.

During the cabinet meeting, law replacing minor penalties with community service work for the benefit of the society was also approved.
