India’s atomic triad to push security, strategic interests: Amit Shah

New Delhi: With nuclear-capable submarine INS Arihant successfully completing its deterrence patrol, BJP President Amit Shah on Monday said it will be effective in furthering the security and strategic interests of the country.

“It shows India’s historic commitment of establishing peace in the world. This achievement brings India in the front row of the few selected countries which have the capability to design, build and operate the Strategic Strike Nuclear Submarine (SSBN),” he said in a statement.

He said India is not only fully devoted to peace but is also fully capable of giving proper response to those who try to disturb the atmosphere of peace.

“With the successful completion of the first patrol operation of INS Arihant, the Navy has enhanced the pride of the nation. I congratulate all the people associated with this campaign, scientists, technical experts and soldiers,” he said.

Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for strengthening the economic and strategic position of India at international level, Shah said: “Modi’s commitment to national security and issues related to strategic interests will continue to benefit the country’s 130 million people for a long time.”

He said that under the leadership of Modi, a strong India will not only fulfil the hopes and aspirations of Indians but will also be the pillar for global peace and stability in today’s world full of uncertainty and apprehensions.
