Inter exam results row: Revanth writes to Guv to intervene

Hyderabad: TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday wrote an open letter to Governor ESL Narasimhan about the burning issue of failure of lakhs of Intermediate students in Telangana State.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Revanth said he informed the Governor that some 9.7 lakh students appeared for the Intermediate exams this year and that the results of the same were declared on April 18, 2019. He told the Governor that several students committed suicides after they were declared failed in the exams. He told the Governor that some three lakh students failed to clear the exams and some students, who got highest marks in Intermediate first year failed in the second year prompting suicides of 23 students across the State.

Commenting on Globarena Technologies firm, which issued the marks list, Revanth Reddy said the Sarpavaram police from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh booked a cheating case against the company following a complaint by JNTU. He urged the Governor to hold a review meeting on the issue with the Chief Secretary and other officials concerned and do justice to the affected students.
