Inter exams: mobile app to locate centres launched

Hyderabad: For the convenience of candidates who are appearing for Intermediate public examinations commencing on March 1, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS-BIE) has launched an Android-based mobile application to locate exam centres.

Special Chief Secretary (Education) Ranjeev R. Acharya and BIE Secretary Ashok launched the app here on Monday.

Students can download app from the Google Playstore. The students just have to enter their hall-ticket number and click on the search button in the app. Their examination centre will be identified and its online route navigation will be displayed.

The information that would be displayed includes the examination centre code, student name, centre’s address and through Google Maps the distance of the centre from the location of the student could be known instantly along with along with approximate time required to reach the centre.

The BIE had geo-tagged all its 1,291 examination centres which would help nearly 9.77 lakh students.
