International Essay Contest for Young People 2018

Description:

International Essay Contest for Young People 2018 invites entries from students up to 25 years of age as on 15 June 2018.

The key objective of the contest is to harness the creativity, energy and initiative of world’s youth in promoting a culture of sustainable development and peace.

The program also aims at inspiring the society to learn from young minds and think about how each individual can make a difference in the world.

Scholarship value:

The winners of this contest will receive –

First prize – One entrant in each category will receive JPY 100,000, a certificate and a gift.

Second prize – A total of two entrants in each category will receive JPY 50,000, a certificate and a gift.

Third prize – A total of five entrants in each category will receive certificate and gift.

Honourable mention – A total of 25 entrants in each category will receive honourable mention that includes a certificate and gift.

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for the contest is divided into two categories –

Applicants up to 14 years of age as on 15 June 2018 (Children category)

Applicants between 15 and 25 years of age as on 15 June 2018 (Youth category)

Application instructions:

Online application
Step 1: Click here to register as an individual or school/organization.

Step 2: Create an account.

Step 3: Once the account is created, log in using registered email id and password.

Step 4: Click on the “Add Essay” option available on the side menu and upload the written essay.

Step 5: Submit the essay and download applicant’s certificate.

Offline application

Step 1: Prepare a cover page for the essay containing information like category, essay title, the name of the applicant, address, phone number, email, nationality, age, gender, word count and school name (if applicable).

Step 2: Write the essay as per the specified guidelines.

Note: The youth directors and teachers can submit a collection of entries from their group or class by enclosing the list of participants’ names, ages, name and contact of submitting teacher or director.
