Former minister and Congress leader D K Aruna offered special prayers at Beechupalli Anjaneya Swamy temple in Itikyala mandal in Jogulamba-Gadwal district today on the occasion of her birthday.
Temple priests accorded a warm welcome to her in temple tradition. Later, main priest Maruthi Chary offered special prayer and offered blessings and theertha prasadams to Aruna. Temple EO Raman Goud honoured Aruna with Swamyvari garland and clothes. Later, Aruna planted saplings on the temple premises. Valmiki priests, temple junior assistant, Brahmachary, Shanker Reddy, Ramudu, Beechupalli Raghu and others were present. (NSS)
