IPL auction: Syed Khaleel Ahmed, son of compounder bags Rs. 3 crore

Chennai: Sunrisers Hyderabad picked Syed Khaleel Ahmed for IPL 2018. He bagged Rs. 3 crore at the auction.

According to the report published in Sportstar Live, when this news spread, he was returning home from Kolkata after completion of the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20.

It may be mentioned that the base price was Rs. 20 lakh and he got Rs. 3 crore.

Syed Khaleel Ahmed, Rajasthan cricketer expressed his happiness after he received the news.

Talking to newsmen, the cricketer said that he wants to buy home and shift his family to Jaipur as all academies are located in the city.

As Khaleel belongs to the lower-middle-class family, he faced many hurdles to pursue his dreams. His father is a compounder. Initially, his family members opposed his career decision.

Finally, he got the success and became a part of India’s U-19 team. He also played for Delhi Daredevils in two seasons.

Now, Khaleel wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a part of Indian cricket team.
