Irregularities in projects: Nagam dares CM for open debate

BJP leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy today accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS Government of indulging in corruption in projects and developmental works.

Talking to mediapersons at Nagarkurnool today, Nagam asserted that he would prove corrupt practices in the projects with proof. “My challenge is with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao against corruption and will not leave the ruling party until the facts see the light”, he said. The former minister, who is not happy with the State BJP leadership for not fighting against the ruling party on corruption, was raising a banner of revolt and is reportedly planning to join the main Opposition Congress party.
Nagam said he was not against the irrigation projects and his fight was only against the corruption involved. “Thousands of crores of public money was being swindled by the ruling party leaders on irrigation projects and there was no action against them. With proof, I challenge the Chief Minister to come for an open debate on corruption. The Chief Minister should reply to my questions on the issue”, Janardhan Reddy said.

The BJP leader also alleged that the local ruling party MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy was indulging in land settlements and real estate business. “I will prove his misdeeds”, he said, adding that the MLA was violating norms by selling market yard land for real estate business and road works. (NSS)
