It breaks my heart to see a wailing mother: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said we must come together to find a way to reach out to the youth of the state. She told this in the wake of 20 killings in south Kashmir.

In a series of tweet, the Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that: “The violence from yesterday is a grim reminder of the fact that at times like these we must shed our differences & come together to think of new ways to reach out to the youth & find sustainable solutions to end the dreadful cycle of violence that is consuming them endlessly.”

In another tweet, she said, “Every day it breaks my heart to see a wailing mother beckoning her son to return. So can we leave aside our accusations & counter accusations, put our heads together to save these young ones.”

Her tweets came as a reply to criticism by National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah alleging her failure to reach out to violence-hit State of Jammu Kashmir.
