Deoband: Recording one another’s call these days has become a common thing. However, the world-renowned seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has described recording calls without permission as a crime. Though the fatwa was issued in the past it is fast becoming viral now.
The fatwa was issued in response to a query asked by a man. Muftis of Darul Uloom stated that the talk between two people is an ‘amanah’ hence it is not right to record the call without permission. And making the recording public is a sheer breach of trust, especially the speech which is a secret.
