Jamat-e-Islami Hind condemns attack on Sikhs in Afghanistan

New Delhi: Secretary-General Jamat-e-Islami Hind Mohammed Saleem Engineer strongly condemned the attacks made on Afghani Sikhs. In a press note, he said we strongly condemn the attacks on Sikhs in which 20 people including 10 of Sikh community were killed. We share the grief of the victims’ family and pray for speedy recovery of the injured.

Jamat-e-Islami Hind demands that the government of Afghanistan ensure the safety of minorities, especially Sikh community. We also appeal United Nations and the world community to seriously try for justice and peace in Afghanistan.

At least 20 people from Sikh and Hindu community were killed in a suicide bomb attack at Jalalabad province in Afghanistan Sunday.
