NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, a student of Jamia Millia Islamia stabbed at university hostel here on Monday.
According to Indian Express reports, the incident took place during lunch hours when Mohammad Danish, a final-year student of physiotherapy was allegedly stabbed.
Danish sustained injuries on his arm and thigh and was rushed to AIIMS. And after getting treatment he returned to the hostel by night.
“Danish was attacked with a knife by a man wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. His face was covered, and he first attempted to stab Danish’s left thigh from behind. But when Danish resisted, his hand also got slashed,” said Shahryar Ahmad, a fellow hosteller.
According to Jamia Media Coordinator Ahmad Azeem said: “He was taken to the university dispensary and later to AIIMS. An FIR has been lodged at Jamia Nagar police station.”
