Job Description:
At a minimum, a good architect should have the following skills :
Preferably working in a product company (SaaS)
Individual contributor role.
Hands on with coding.
This is not a people management position.
Someone who excels in big picture thinking.
Should understand whats required to solve a problem in a variety of dimensions.
They define – 1. needed sub-systems 2. how they should fit together 3. how to make the system reliable and performant.
Should have designed and implemented several different products
Prior architecture experience in a complex enterprise software environment.
Experience in designing and implementing web API services including service management aspects of orchestration, security, hosting and analytics.
Thorough understanding and experience in implementing and maintaining API framework / API service management.
Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and coding.
Strong object-oriented programming skills and good understanding of common design patterns and principles
Stems architect at a top SaaS company with 99.99 % up-time responsibilities
Experience providing and consuming RESTful web services, SOAP, XML-RPC, and JSON.
Development experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX.
Understanding of major browsers and the special considerations required for each.
Strong experience in relational database and SQL.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases, Distributed Caches & Data-Grids.
Experience with Git.
