Jayalalithaa denied from going to Hospital, regained consciousness in Ambulance

New Delhi: The death probe into former Tamil Nadu’s CM J Jayalalithaa has begun and according to Jayalalitha’s companion VK Sasikala, she had refused to go to the hospital after she reportedly collapsed in the washroom on 22 September 2016.

VK Sasikala has submitted the documents of former CMs health and treatment reports to Justice A Arumughaswamy, a former high court judge who is probing the death case of Jayalalithaa

Ms. Sasikala said Jayalalithaa was taken to the hospital on 22 September after she fell unconscious in her Poes Garden residence’s washroom.

“She called out to me for help. I suggested going to hospital, but she refused. She passed out and I called the doctor for an ambulance,” she said, adding, that Jayalalithaa “regained consciousness on the way to the hospital and asked where she was being taken”.

Ms. Sasikala who is currently serving four years jail term for corruption, further states AIADMK leaders O Panneerselvam and M Thambidurai had reportedly met her while she was in the hospital, which the leaders are now denying stating they were denied access to Jayalalithaa in three months of her hospitalization, NDTV reports.
