Jessica Chastain is all game for ‘IT’ sequel

Washington: It seems like we are heading towards a Hollywood A-lister joining the much-anticipated ‘IT’ sequel.

According to Contactmusic.com, the Oscar-nominated actress, Chastain has shown interest in starring in the sequel to the horror blockbuster movie ‘IT’.

While speaking about if she would be interested in playing the role of Bev in the sequel, which will roll into production next year, the actress said, “Well, I love Andy and Barbara Muschietti. I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut, you know, his film, ‘Mama’.”

Adding, “His first film. And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so, we’ll see. Listen, of course, I want to work on it. They’re my friends. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen.”

Recently, Muschietti publicly stated he wants Jessica Chastain to play the older version of Beverly in the ‘IT’ sequel.

The new film will be written by Gary Dauberman and directed by Andy Muschietti, and will hit cinemas on September 6, 2019.

Producers Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are also believed to be on board.

The first movie went on to be a blockbuster at Box-Office and grossed USD 677 million around the world since its release back in September. (ANI)
