Jharkhand: After BJP Treasurer, BJP youth wing leader shot dead

Patna: A BJP youth wing leader shot dead by unidentified persons. This incident took place on Saturday night in Gumla District of Jharkhand State. After the incident, locals blocked the Ranchi-Gumla highway for hours on Sunday.

According to the report published in New Indian Express, three bullets hit Vicky Sahu (28) at Laji-Silafari Bazar. He died on the spot. Although locals rushed to the spot after hearing gunshots, accused escaped in a Bolero car.

Sahu was the Gumla block president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). BJYM is the youth wing of BJP.

It may be mentioned that on 11th March, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lohardagga District Treasurer Pankaj Gupta was shot dead at Piska Nagri of Ranchi in Jharkhand. The attack reportedly took place at the Piska Railway station soon after Gupta had stepped out of a train.

It is also reported that Sahu was shot dead while he was returning home after losing money in gambling. After the incident, police detained four persons. The investigation is going on.
