Jharkhand: Another Muslim man lynched to death on beef rumours, two escaped

RAMGARH: In yet another instance, people in name of ‘Gau Bhakti’ took the law into their hands and lynched one more innocent Muslim to death on suspicion of carrying beef.

The saddening incident happened at around 9 O’clock on Thursday morning in tand area of Sadar police station limits of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand.

The deceased identified as 42-year-old Alimuddin alias Asgar Ali, a resident of Manua.

It was reported that there were three people in the van at the time of the incident.

Someone informed the villagers that beef is being transported in the Maruti van.

The locals get angry and on suspicious of carrying beef brutally beaten Asgar whereas the other two managed to save their lives as they fled from the spot.

The furious mob also set the van (WB 02-1791) on fire.

Upon information, police rushed the spot and took the severely injured Asgar to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.

This incident happened at a time when PM Modi finally break his silence and spoke up against cow vigilantes and warned those who are killing people and spreading violence in name of ‘Gau Bhakti’.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the DIG, DC and SP of Ramgarh is camping to maintain law and order to prevent untoward incident.

The incident happend just a day after the mob of approximately 100 men attacked a dairy farmer Usman Ansari when some villagers found cow carcass outside and set ablaze part of his house.
