Junaid Zakir elected MANUUTA president

Hyderabad: Dr. Mohammed Junaid Zakir, Assistant Professor Department of Translation, has been declared elected unopposed as President of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Teachers Association (MANUUTA) on October 25.

This is the fourth time that Dr. Zakir has won as President. Earlier, he was elected as President during the years 2011-12 and 2012-13 and again in 2016-17.

According to Prof. Mohammad Abdul Azeem, Chairperson, Election Committee, Dr. Zakir is the 10th president of the MANUU’s Teachers Association.

The other elected office bearers are: Dr. Bontu Kotaiah, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Information Technology, Vice President; Dr. Rehan Malik, Assistant Professor, Directorate of Distance Education, General Secretary; Dr A Nageshwar Rao, Assistant Professor and Assistant Director ACSSEIP, Joint Secretary (Organising); Dr Mohammad Moshahid, Associate Professor, Department of Education and Training, Joint Secretary (Publicity) and; Mr Mohammad Tahir Qureshi, Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Treasurer.

Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Pro Vice Chancellor, and M A Sikandar, Registrar, congratulated the newly elected office bearers.

Ms T Arundhati, Dr S. Abdul Thaha, Mr. Shams Imran and Mr. Jameel Ahamed were the other members of the Election Committee.
