Hyderabad: Collegium of the Supreme Court of India recommended the name of Acting Chief Justice of Telangana State High Court to be appointed its permanent Chief Justice.
The letter of recommendation has been forwarded to Central Govt. in this regard. Justice R.S Chauhan was born on 24th December 1959. He obtained a law degree from Delhi University in 1983. He was appointed as Judge of Rajasthan
High Court in 2005.
In 2015, he was transferred to Karnataka High Court. After the formation of Telangana State, he was appointed as the Senior Judge. After Justice P.Balakrishnan was transferred to Kolkata High Court, he was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.
Now the Collegium of the Supreme Court of India recommended his name for appointment as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court on a permanent basis
