Kanhaiya Kumar gives important advice to Muslims, talks on various issues

Hyderabad: Muslims should stop taking a defensive attitude. They should face the situation boldly along with other depressed classes. In order to fight against the fascist forces, the unity of the Muslims and the Dalits is essential so that voice could be raised for the poor Indians jointly.

These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, former President of JNU Students’ Union while delivering an extension lecture organized by Siasat Urdu Daily at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Bagh Lingampally, Hyderabad on 1st October.

He advised the Muslims to raise voice on the current issues avoiding unilateral voice. If the voice is raised for the resolution of common issues, the situation will change.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily presided over the function. Seated on the dais were Mr. Chadda Venkat Reddy (CPI), Mr. Madhu Yashki Goud (Congress), Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha (CPI) and Mr. Syed Anwarul Huda, IPS (Retd.)

In his lecture, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar told that the present situation of the country is due to the negligence of the common people. He advised the people to raise their voice. He further told that the foundations of democracy are laid down in the constitution of India. Attempts are being made to destroy the constitution. It is the responsibility of the people to protect it.

He also told that TV Channels cannot decide the fate of the country. The people of this country will decide their destiny. It is for the people to understand the direction in which the country is being taken to. The group which was propagating tea during British regime is now ruling the country. During the British rule, this group learnt the lesson “Divide and rule”. It is now being revealed that this group also got trained in “Divert and rule”. They are ruling the country diverting the attention of the people from the real issues. He also bitterly criticized media houses and said that they are engaged in campaigning in favour of BJP.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar told that the attempts to suppress the voice of truth are still being continued. Those who raised this voice are being threatened. The examples can be found in the assassinations of MM Kulbargi, Pansare and Gauri Lankesh. The killings under the pretext of protecting the cow have become so common that the people are not reacting against them anymore. In order to fight against the media houses, it is essential to study the history of the country. Communal harmony is in the blood of the people of this country. Organized attempts are being made to end this.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar highlighted the importance of protecting the constitution. He told that the group which is ruling the country is not interested in amending the constitution. It is making an attempt to replace the constitution drafted by Dr. Ambedkar with “Manusmriti”. He cited the example of burning the copy of the constitution on the roads of New Delhi but no action was taken against the culprits. This only shows that who are on their support.

PM of India has plenty of time to go to various countries of the world but he has no time to meet the mothers of Najeeb and Rohit Vemula. He also has no time to visit the houses of Junaid or Akhlaq. This speaks of his mentality.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar told that those who raise the voice of truth continuously, no power can stop them. He targeted BJP and said that it is trying to attract people with the slogans of “Make in India” and “Skill India”. The members of the party themselves are terming BJP as the party of two and a half persons.

In his presidential address, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that the situation India is now facing is very serious. India has been the seat of Ganga Jamuna Civilization. There are proposals to construct the temple of Nathuram Godse who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. Conspiracies are being hatched to end constitution. In such a situation, it is obligatory on the part of every citizen of India to struggle for the protection of the constitution in order to save the country.

He further told that organizing annual extension lectures is not a new phenomenon. Siasat Urdu Daily has been organizing this every year in order to promote Hindu-Muslim unity. Welcoming Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that Mr. Kumar identified himself as a youth who is raising his voice against the present Government and Sangh Parivar. He expressed good wishes for the future of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar.

CPI has been raising voice to protect the rights of the Muslims and the Dalits but the ruling party is making an attempt to suppress them. He also told that CPI would change the fascist forces with the slogans, “BJP Bhagao, Desh Bachao”.

Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, former CPI MP of Rajya Sabha told that these days, BJP is talking about the views of Swami Vivekananda. Had he been alive today, he would have campaigned against BJP. He told that BJP is exploiting the name of Swami Vivekananda.

Referring to the killings in the name of cow, Mr. Aziz Pasha told that people are forced to call Hindustan as Lynchistan. Citing the decision of PM Narendra Modi about demonetization, Mr. Aziz Pasha told that Modi has failed. As a result of this decision, 2.24 lakh companies have been closed down. This created huge unemployment situation. He also mentioned the price rise in Diesel and Petrol and said that due to it the costs of other articles are also rising. He mentioned the irregularities of Rafael Deal.

During the extension lecture, revolutionary singers presented songs. Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar raised the slogan, “Azaadi” which he had raised in JNU, New Delhi earlier.
