Karachi Rangers arrests three, recovers huge weapons cache

Karachi: Rangers in Pakistan’s commercial capital Karachi today confirmed the arrest of three persons and recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

The arms and ammunition was recovered from the city’s Rizvia Society area, Geo TV reports.

The persons arrested were identifiied as Azam Abbas, Amir Abbas and Asif. The suspects were involved in illegal trade of weapons, according to the Rangers’spokesperson.

The recovered weapons included a G3 rifle, four sub-machine guns (SMGs), two 7mm rifles, M4 rifles, a .22 rifle, a .22 pistol, six 9mm pistols, five 12 bore rifle, four 30 bore pistols, a 32 bore pistol and a 38 bore pistol. About 2,159 rounds of ammunition was also seized. (ANI)
