Kartarpur corridor opening is not googly, says Imran

Islamabad: On Monday, during the meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan with a bunch of reporters and TV anchors in Islamabad, he said “the Kartarpur corridor was a sincere effort and not a “googly” or a “double game” and a straightforward decision”.

According to a report of TOI, Pakistan’s foreign minister Qureshi had said that PM Khan had bowled India a “googly” by taking the initiative of opening the Kartarpur border connecting Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal district to Dera Baba Nanak in India’s Gurdaspur.

His Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj expressing her displeasure over the “googly” and commented on tweeter that Qureshi’s remarks showed that Pakistan has no respect for the Sikh sentiments and took the Kartarpur initiative only for politics.
