Kashmir police should take note of BJP leader’s warning: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: Vice President National Conference Omar Abdullah strongly condemned BJP leader Chaudhry Lal Singh’s controversial remark in which he asked journalists to learn a lesson from Journalist Shujaat Bukhari’s killing. In a tweet, Omar Abdullah stated ‘It seems Shujaat’s death is now a tool for goons to use to threaten other journalists.’

Omar Abdullah said National Conference strongly condemns the provocative remark against Kashmiri journalists and said Kashmir police should take serious note of the warning.

BJP’s controversial MLA Chaudhry Lal Singh in a press conference on Friday said “These Kashmiri journalists created a wrong narrative about it (the Kathua rape and murder). Now I will tell Kashmiri journalists to draw a line on the journalism you do and how you have to live. Do you have to live like what happened to Basharat (Shujaat), so that such a situation emerges?”
