Kashmiri students allowed to go home after grilling

New Delhi: NIA has permitted the Kashmiri students who were picked up from Madrasa Jamia Arabia, located in Banda district in Hatora village, to go home after 3-day long grilling. The NIA had raided the madrasa after an unknown person Sohail interacted with them. NIA had taken another student Tauseef into custody before that. Later 7 students were called to Delhi for enquiry. They were Mohammed Azam, Khaleelur Rahman, Sajid Iqbal, Shabbir Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed, Saddam Husain and Shah Bilal. All the seven belong to Kashmir.

They were interrogated for 3 days after which they were permitted to go home. However, they were asked to come again after a few days for enquiry.

According to details, a person named Sohail visited Tauseef at the madrasa. He stayed there for several days. During his stay, he also interacted with the students in question. Hence they were called by NIA to get information about the stranger and Tauseef.
