Jammu: Forensic medical experts revealed many other surprising details related to Kathua rape and murder case. They said that victim of the case might have slipped into a coma due to an overdose of sedatives which was given to her forcibly.
According to the report published in Times of India, this details came to light after the crime branch of the Jammu and Kashmir police sent a sample of victim’s viscera to a forensic laboratory. The effects of “mannar” candies and Epitril 0.5 mg tablets on the girl were analyzed.
The crime branch had decided to know the effect of the table on an 8-year-old girl with an empty stomach. This decision was made after the accused, their lawyers and few other persons claimed that it is impossible for the victim to cry when the alleged brutality was taking place on her.
Recently, the crime branch received the medical opinion which said that the 8-year-old victim of the case might have slipped into come due to the tablet. Doctors also revealed that the medicine which was given to the victim contained Clonazepam salt. This medicine had to be administered under medical supervision.
This medical opinion would be produced before the court.
It may be mentioned that in the month of January, an eight-year-old girl, belonging to a nomadic Muslim tribe in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, and killed. Her body was found a week later.
There are seven accused in the case. The main accused is Sanji Ram who had allegedly hatched the conspiracy.
