KCR anti-Dalit, says Manda Krishna Madiga

Hyderabad: MRPS Leader Manda Krishna Madiga on Thursday said it was unfortunate that Chief Minister KCR did not open his mouth and utter a single word protesting the demolition of Ambedkar statue by the GHMC workers in the city. He said all Ambedkar followers would hold a Maha Garjana in Hyderabad on April 27.

Krishna Madiga said grandson of BR Amedkar, Prakash Ambedkar would take part in the event as the chief guest. He said other Dalit leaders like senior Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Jignesh Mevani and Azaad Ravan would also take part in the event. He said barring TRS party, the representatives of all other political parties would take part in the event. He also said the police did not allow them to stage a dharna at Indira park. He called upon the MRPS activists to stage protest programs before the Ambedkar statues across Hyderabad. He said they would hold protest programs in all districts till April 22.

Alleging that KCR was anti-Dalit, the MRPS leader said they have proof to prove anti- Dalit stand of KCR. He also the Chief Minister did not take part in any Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations since 2000. He alleged that KCR, who had garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at his farm house has forgotten to garland the statue of BR Ambedkar.
