KCR chides Balram Naik for merger jibe

Hyderabad: TRS president and Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today slammed Congress leader Balram Naik for his statements that Telangana will be re-merged into Andhra Pradesh if the people did not vote for the Congress.

Balram Naik delivered speeches at various places in the districts and wooed the people with more sops and development. As part of campaigns at several places, KCR at Mahbubabad expressed displeasure at Naik for his blatant remarks against the State. He asked whether Naik was the son of Telangana who was talking against its welfare and progress. “Do we need the diktats of TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu from Amaravathi or from Delhi”, he asked.

“By default the people should not vote for the “people’s Front of the Congress and TD alliance as it will bring dark days and deprive us of power and waters and jobs which are the key factors of the statehood. The Congress is hand in glove with Chandrababu Naidu for his money for luring people, who will certainly reject the alliance partners, he said.

He reminded that while then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy vowed not to give even a single rupee to Telangana and do whatever they liked, the ministers of Telangana remained silent and got glued to their posts while the TRS was fighting for the statehood, he said. The Congress leaders from Telangana were talking against our development and trying to stall the projects, he said. He exhorted the people to pin down Kutami partners and reject Naidu and the Congress for conspiring against our growth”, he said.
