KCR left Polavaram re-design to wind: MLC

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy today reiterated that he approached the Supreme Court seeking justice to Telugu States on the assurances given in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, the MLC said the Supreme Court made severe comments against the Centre during the hearing on his petition filed by him. He said the Apex Court had asked the Centre as to why it failed to fulfill its assurances given to the two Telugu States. Alleging that the Centre rendered injustice to two Telugu States, Ponguleti asked the States to implead themselves in the petition filed by him.

Demanding that the AP government redesign the Polavaram project, Ponguleti alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao left the Polavaram re-design issue to the wind. He alleged that KCR was least bothered about public interest, but spending his time in criticizing the Congress party. He suggested to KCR to follow Tamil Nadu and Karnataka States waging movements against the Centre. (NSS)
