KCR meets Deve Gowda, slams Congress & BJP, exhorts Telugus to vote for JD(S)

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today sought support of former Prime Minister and Janadal Secular Chief Deve Gowda and his son former chief minister Kumar Swamy for his peoples’ Federal Front (FF) against the BJP and the Congress at the Centre.

KCR who took a special flight to Bengaluru along with TRS MPs Vinod Kumar, Santhosh Kumar and Actor Prakash Raj from Begumpet Airport had discussed with Deve Gowda on his new federal front with agenda for qualitative change in national politics to address key problems.

Speaking to media persons later, KCR lashed out at the Congress and BJP Governments at the Centre for failing miserably to address the problems pertaining to farmers and waters and several others for the past 70 years. Except for six years, the two national parties at the Centre blatantly ignored the key problems of the country due to lopsided policies, KCR alleged. “I sought the support of Deve Gowda, who had supported the cause of the separate Telangana”, he said.
KCR accused the Congress and the BJP Governments of failing to resolve the water crisis forcing the States to go to war. Kaveri Water Board to resolve Kaveri issue among Karnataka and Tamil Nadu States is still pending due to negligence of the government at the Centre, he alleged. Krishna Tribunal failed to resolve the water crisis for 14 years, he fumed.

These two parties are sitting pretty on the chairs and doing nothing for the cause of the farmers and the states seeking rightful share of waters from the rivers he charged. Our federal front has a broader agenda for national development to address these key issues daunting the nation for these long years and also development of our own states.

He appealed to Telugu people in Karantaka to vote for Deve Gowda’s JD(S) in the elections scheduled for May next. KCR also said that he is ready to campaign for JD (S), if Deve Gowda wants him to do so. Stating that Federal Front will play key role in 2019 elections the Chief Minister of Telangana said that fight is for common man and farmers. He also welcomed other political parties to work with the agenda for qualitative change at national level.

Deve Gowda said that KCR has discussed with him and Kumar Swamy on the Federal Front for qualitative change in national level politics. After 70 years of Independence our nation is facing serious problems which need to be addressed he said. Gowda appreciated KCR Government for unique scheme of KCR Kits for pregnant women and plans for farmers’ welfare. He stressed the need for replication of Telangana Farmers investment scheme across the nation.
Prakash Raj appealed to people think before voting in the elections. The voters of Karnataka should be wary of parties, leaders and governments as who have deceived and who implemented welfare schemes and offered good governance he said. Expressing concern on the present day scenario in the country Prakash Raj asked the people seeking change should join hands. (NSS)
