KCR’s niece ridicules Kavitha’s speech on women empowerment

TPCC Spokesperson Regulapati Ramya Rao has ridiculed the speech delivered by TRS MP K. Kavitha in Women Parliamentarian Conference in Vijayawada on empowerment of women.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Ramya questioned Kavitha’s silence on non-inclusion of a woman in the cabinet of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in Telangana. He said none of the unit of TRS in old 10 districts was headed by a woman. She said at one side, Kavitha has turned a blind’s eye to the injustices being meted out to women in Telangana State. On the other side, the TRS MP is making long speeches on how women should be empowered in politics, he said.

Ramya, who is also the niece of KCR, said that the TRS was giving no respect to AICC President Sonia Gandhi, a woman, who granted statehood for Telangana. She also questioned Kavitha’s silence on the death of five women in Niloufer Hospital due to alleged negligence of doctors.

The TPCC Spokesperson also alleged that the Chief Minister was completely under the influence of sand mafia. She even feared that there was a threat to KCR’s life from those running the sand mafia. He advised KCR to free himself from the clutches and influence of sand mafia, which is being run by one of his close relative. (INN)
