KCR’s objective is the development of Muslims: Mahmood Ali

Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State told that Muslims in Telangana are leading a peaceful life under the stewardship of Mr. KCR.
The past of the Muslim community has come back once again which Mr. KCR had promised during his 14 yearlong Telangana struggle. He was addressing 129th birthday celebrations of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad organized by Telangana State Urdu Academy at Chowmahalla Palace on 18th November.
He distributed awards to best Urdu teachers and best Urdu students for the year 2017.
Mr. A.K. Khan, Advisor to Govt. on Minority Affairs and Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare were present on this occasion. Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy welcomed the guests. Mr. Aslam Farshori conducted the meeting.
Mr. Mahmood Ali felicitated the noted cardiologist, Dr. Mohammed Haider Khan. He also gave awards to teachers working in Unani Medical College, universities, colleges and schools.
Citing the example of injustices meted out to Urdu language, Mr. Mahmood Ali told that during the past 60-year rule of non-local rulers who were not aware of Telangana civilization, our Urdu language could not be developed. As a result of which the Muslims lagged behind. This has been depicted in Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra Commission reports.
He advised the Muslims to avoid spendthriftness, sleeping aimlessly, wasting time during nights and other trivial activities.
He lamented that due to our educational backwardness, 30-40% prisoners are Muslims. Mr. KCR is serious about the educational development of the Muslims. He was the first CM to visit Jamia Nizamia and to sanction Rs. 14 crore for the construction of Auditorium. He also recognized the certificates issued by Jamia Nizamia equivalent to the courses offered by universities and a requisite qualification for appointments. The establishment 204 minorities’ residential schools is a deed of KCR which has no parallel in the entire country.
