Kerala floods: After UAE, Imran Khan offers humanitarian assistance – Here’s what he tweets

New Delhi: Kerala flood was one of worst natural disasters. Hundreds of people lost their lives whereas over one million people are taking shelter in various relief camps in the State.

Recently, UAE had pledged financial assistance of $100 million for flood-battered Kerala. However, India on Wednesday rejected the offer.

Now, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday offered humanitarian assistance to flood-hit Kerala.

On Twitter, Imran Khan wrote, “On behalf of the people of Pakistan, we send our prayers and best wishes to those who have been devastated by the floods in Kerala, India. We stand ready to provide any humanitarian assistance that may be needed”.

It may be mentioned that following the devastating floods, over one million people are now sheltered in 3,274 relief camps in the state. The death toll since the monsoon rains began on May 29 has been estimated at around 370.
