Kerala Floods: Pilot rescued pregnant woman, receives a special note

Rescue operations are in full swing in Kerala after a disastrous flood, It has received the heaviest rainfall since 1924, causing massive destruction and leaving lakhs homeless. The Naval rescue chopper pilot and his team have rescued the 25-year-old pregnant woman while she was stuck on the rooftop and the flood waters had reached the first floor.

On August 17, The Naval rescue chopper pilot and his team have rescued Sajitha Jabil, from the rooftop of her house, in Chengamanad near Aluva. A Navy chopper arrived with a doctor, who was lowered onto the rooftop to examine her.

After she was rescued by Commodore Vijay Varma, She was winched up and flown to a hospital in Kochi. Within half an hour, she delivered a baby boy said the hospital authorities.

Now to express their gratitude to the rescue team, people thanked Naval rescue chopper pilot Commodore Vijay Varma and his men by painting a huge ‘Thanks’ on the roof of a house.
