Kerala: New born baby found inside toilet duct

Kerala: A newborn baby tragically ended up in a clinic’s toilet in Kerala and was only found after two days in a decomposed state with the placenta still attached.

According to the reports, the shocking incident came into light after the Clinic’s owner Doctor Abdul Rahman called in plumbers to unclog the pipes passage after he noticed some kind of blockage in the toilet, Mirror Now reports.

When the plumbers tried to clean what they saw told looked like a small ball but later found a two-day-year old newborn stuck in toilet’s duct with its placenta still attached.

So far the dead toddler’s parents have not been identified and speculations are the parents might have flushed the baby down when they came in for consultation or the mother might have delivered the baby inside the washroom.

The Kerala Police filed a case of unnatural death after the clinic’s doctor filed a complaint.
“Investigations are underway. We are analyzing the records, but we haven’t been able to identify her parents yet,” said police sources.

The dead body of the toddler has been sent to Thrissur medical college for postmortem.

“There wasn’t much of a foul smell emanating from the toilet. The body hadn’t decomposed when we recovered it. But the baby’s placenta was intact and there was blood inside the commode. Seeing the colour of the blood, the domestic worker mistook it for muddy water,” said the police.
