Kerala: Salman Khan donates huge amount for the affectees

MUMBAI: Saddened by the plight of the victims of Kerala, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been reported to donate 12 crores to help the needy, according to Dainik Bhaskar.

Now that’s a huge contribution from the ‘Sultan’ actor, who is currently in Malta for the shooting of his coming film “Bharat”.

A few days back Salman took to social media, saying, “Still deeply saddened by the calamity that has hit Kerala, my heart goes out to all who have suffered a loss and very happy to hear all the souls who have gone back to help out the victims”.

After the reports of the donations spread with a lightning speed, actor Jaaved Jaaferi took to Twitter and wrote, Heard @BeingSalmanKhan donated ₹12cr for Kerala.. this man is something else. Kinton ki duaein leke chal rahi Hain isey. God Bless you, bro. Love and #Respect.”

Noteworthy, the actor ha never flaunted his generosity.

A large number of Bollywood stars have come to the aid of flood-battered Kerala by providing funds, food items, medicine and personal belongings such as clothes and even cooking for feeding the affected people.

Bollywood celebrity Amitabh Bachchan donated Rs 51 lakh in cash apart from his personal clothing for Kerala relief.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation has donated Rs 21 lakh to a relief group.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has contributed Rs 1 crore on behalf of a fan towards the flood-affected victims, who are in a terrible state right now.

Kerala has been hit hard by the worst floods in a century that have left hundreds dead and thousands homeless.
