Khalsa Aid selflessly serves Iftar to 5000 Syrian refugees

Beirut: Khalsa Aid,  UK-based international NGO serving iftar meals for 5000 Syrian refugees daily in fasting month of Ramadan.

In collaboration with the SAWA for Development and Aid, a local Lebanese charity, the humanitarian charity is funding fresh food to more than 5,000 Syrian Muslims refugees.

It’s part of a month-long initiative run by SAWA Aid. SAWA means “together” in Arabic.

Khalsa Aid, through ‘Ramzan Kitchen’ has been contributing in service of humanity by providing iftar food packages for Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Iraq.

The non-profit organization with Eid gifts that include new dress and shoes also give reason for 500 refugee children in Mosul, Iraq to smile.

For the past few years, Khalsa Aid providing selfless service to the refugees in several countries including Lebanon and Turkey.

Ravinder Singh, the founder and CEO of Khalsa Aid, recalled how humanitarian relief agency was targeted by the right wing in India, because they were in Bangladesh to feed the Rohingya Muslims.

“As soon as we started, and our volunteers from India landed in Bangladesh, the right-wing groups in India started posting pictures of Sikh guys and Rohingya refugee children, and you know what they were posting? This was a concentrated effort to undermine our work – big snake feeding a small snake!”.
