Khushbu’s Remarks Rebutted

Hyderabad: AICC official spokesperson and cine actress Khushbu’s remarks at Jadcherla on Friday that women got insults in all fields in Telangana State, came in for severe criticism from some TRS activists. They said the cine actress was speaking without knowing the facts.
The activists pointed out that Telangana state under the stewardship of K Chandrasekhar Rao was the first State in the country to introduce and implement ‘KCR kits’ scheme for pregnant women, under which Rs.12,000 was being given to each pregnant woman who receives treatment at any Government Hospital in the State. Apart from this, the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes were also benefiting women of all weaker sections across the State.

Lakhs of women, widows and girls were also among the beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Aasara Pensions, SC, ST, Minorities Gurukulas, and many other schemes, they said, adding that women were also there among the nearly 33,000 persons who got jobs in Government sector. The huge hike in salaries of Anganwadi workers and helpers had also benefited large number of women.

Rebutting her claim that people were going to private Hospitals as there was shortage of staff in Government Hospitals, they pointed out that after TRS came to power, several facilities and staff were provided in Government Hospitals, and there has been considerable increase in the number of patients going to Government Hospitals.
