Kidnappers nabbed after making extortion call

Bhimavaram: Syam Goutham, a four-year-old pre-KG student was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday by two unidentified persons in Bhimavaram town.

The kidnappers have allegedly made extortion calls to the boy’s parents demanding them of Rs.5 lakh. They soon switched off their cellphones after making the extortion call.

Syam’s father is a carpenter and his mother is a homemaker.

The school Principal Prasanna Kumar recalling the incident said that the two alleged Kidnappers who came on the bike, said that Syam’s mother has suddenly fallen ill and asked to see her son.

The Principal had then sent the boy with the two men. He later called Syam’s father to inquire about his mother’s health. To his surprise, Syam’s father told the principal that his wife is doing fine reported the Bhimavaram Police.

After an hour passed the alleged kidnappers made the extortion call to his parents demanding the money.

The parents immediately informed the Police after the extortion call was made.

The Principal Prassana Kumar had announced that he is willing to pay the ransom money to the kidnappers if they let go of the boy unharmed.

The AP police tracked the mobile phone signal of the accused who made the extortion call and successfully nabbed four kidnappers related to the abduction of Syam.
